SALEM, Ore. – The new mobile sports betting app for Oregon landed $17.1 million in wagers during November. As the first month of operation, the sports betting industry in Oregon is bringing residents back to their former wagering days.

According to Lottery officials, 720,004 bets were made last month. That is a $23.76 risk average. With such a remarkable start-up, people in the industry are beginning to talk.

Daniel Kustelski tweeted “Since scoreboard launched on October 16, players have staked $22.7 million via the app, with total revenue generated reaching $1.2 million. In total, 992,842 bets have been placed, at an average value of $22.88 with 34,489 players registering to date.”

Digging Into The Sports Betting Numbers

In revenue for the month of November, two sports produced over $100,000. In basketball, the books kept $586,824, while football allowed them to keep $186,539. The Portland Trailblazers no doubt bought in a significant amount, as bettors always enjoy wagering on the home team. Even sports like snooker, ice hockey, and volleyball reared in some bets.

As of now, the app does not offer bets on college competitions, but bettors can find Oregon sports betting at local tribal casinos such as Chinook Winds. While not having mobile collegiate betting is a problem for some Oregon residents, legislators have not ruled out the possibility of permitting Scoreboard to offer betting lines on college teams.
