Same-game parlays arrived with that migration, and the state advertised the upgrade in those words when it made the switch. Oregon also runs something no other state offers, since the Lottery and DraftKings launched Sports Betting Pools here in 2024, letting you build a private pool with friends or enter a public one and bet straight-up winners, spreads and props against the other entrants instead of against the house. If you’ve never placed a wager at all, the Lottery walks new players through spreads, moneylines and props before they risk a dollar, which is a strange and welcome thing for a seller to do.

What the app won’t take is college ball, and the Oregon college betting ban is the reason Portland carries so much of an Oregon bettor’s season. In person, the counter at one of the Oregon tribal casinos with sportsbooks will take the college action the app refuses, and it hands you a paper ticket and a human being to argue with about a grading call.
